The M-Tac Norman fleece jacket is an excellent choice for both cool and cold weather thanks to the WindBlock material and Softshell inserts. In milder conditions it works as an outer layer, while in colder weather it can be used as an insulating layer under a jacket or parka.
Made from 100% polyester. The WindBlock membrane structure is designed for low and extremely low temperatures, reflecting up to 80% of body heat back inside while allowing only 20% (excess heat during active movement) to escape through the membrane grid.
Most modern membrane fabrics with a polyurethane coating are not suitable for extremely low temperatures because polyurethane hardens in the cold, causing the fabric to stiffen and produce noticeable “rustling” sounds when moving. In WindBlock thermal fabric, the membrane is protected not by a polyurethane coating, but by a dense polyester-structured fleece (on both the inside and outside), which protects it from low temperatures, abrasion (inside and outside), and creates an additional insulating air layer.
